American Kuhne’s new facility
|
After 11 years and shipment of more than 1000 extruders, single screw extruder manufacturer American Kuhne this summer completed the relocation of its sales, engineering, manufacturing, and extrusion laboratory to its new location in Ashaway, Rhode Island. According to the company, in addition to the improved efficiencies of the new facility, the new Rhode Island location reduces the average commuting time and distance by 2/3 for the vast majority of employees who live in the Pawcatuck/Westerly area. To facilitate customer visits, travel time from the Providence, RI airport has also been cut in half to less than 30 minutes.
The firm is planning an open house in September to welcome customers and potential ones to the new facility.
American Kuhne manufactures extruders sized from 1/2” through 12-inch for a number of end-use applications, including pipe and profile extrusion as well as sheet and film extrusion. American Kuhne also maintains a technology exchange with Kuhne GmbH (St. Augustine, Germany), a manufacturer of sheet and blown film systems. |
